The information below will help you get the most from your kayak rental
Our rental kayaks are Sit On Top or open kayaks which are lovely and stable. They are 9ft in length and are perfect for a cruise of the harbour and surrounding bay.
We will provide you with a shorty wetsuit (short arm/short leg) which will keep you warm whilst paddling. If its a cooler day or a bit windy we suggest you bring a rain jacket to wear over the wetsuit.
No, our rental kayaks are only to be used in the most sheltered part of Mullaghmore Bay. Upon arrival, we will show you where the boundaries are and explain the weather conditions that you can expect during your rental period.
Yes you can! Our Sit On Top kayaks are easy to paddle and you will learn the basics in no time at all.
Yes, Mullaghmore Bay is known for its gently sloping, sandy bottom. It is completely sheltered from all Atlantic swell and prevailing winds so you couldn’t ask for a better location. We have a dedicated safety boat too, and will always be around should you need a hand.
